TEAM AND ROLE OVERVIEW
The Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating a large part of aQysta’s GROWN related activities in Nepal. He/She will be the focal point for the sales and operations team and plan and manage all operations related to linking Agri-Commodities/Products (Fruits, Vegetables, and spices) to different market segments i.e. Conventional markets, Processing Companies/Factories, Non-Conventional markets like marts, online, and B2B Restaurants and Hotels. Main responsibilities include strategic business development, managing sales, and logistics. The work will be 50-50 individual (planning and analysing and partner relations) and co-working with the team such as Instructing junior team members and co-developing improvements for further expansion with the management team.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing team members of the sales and operations team, including attendance, productivity, and results of the team.

Strategic Business Development to link agricultural produce to buyers (e.g. restaurants, hotels, wholesalers, processing industry)

Improve operational procedures in sales and delivery

Managing revenues, gross margins, and operational costs across the supply chain (collaborate with Agronomists and financial officers)

Assure the recording of the above activities in aQysta’s CRM system and above all enforce use among the team.

Manage ongoing value chain partnerships with development organizations in Nepal and implement market linkage activities as per the plan

Collaborate in strategy development for further business expansion.

Overall provide support in the development and operations of export value chains
BACKGROUND AND SKILLS
-
MBA/Master in a field related to the position (operations management, value chain management, economics, business, agriculture) – e.g., Agri-Business Management, Business Administration

Minimum 7 to 10 years experience in managing a team

Candidates with experience in the food/processing sector, Food related e-commerce, hotels, chains restaurants or other B2B areas.

Education or experience in agribusiness is a strong plus

Willing to travel to rural areas occasionally

Holding a valid Driver’s License (2 Wheeler)
